Fort William, Oban and New Year at Dumfries.
Day Six the penultimate day of our aventure and the decade. You can catch up with previous days here.
An early start on a 250 mile day, brought a frozen car and stunning views of Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the British Isles. Standing at 1,345 metres (4,411 ft) above sea level, as the sun rose.
Immediately upon leaving Fort William the views were amazing, such a cold fresh morning with a low sun certainly added to the splendor of the Highlands and Lochs.
The lightly snow topped peaks, certainly added to the drama of the setting.
